Hi
I am trying to use the SnapAmp diff. encoder channels. My encoder has only 2 channels A and B, so I used the Hex inverter 74ls04. The outputs of the inverter is used as A- and B-.
I checked the four channels with the IO of the snapAmp, they are ok, they change from high to low apparently in sequence, (A>H and A->L)- (B>L and B->H) and so on but when i connect them to the encoder channels (pins 15=A , 16=A- 17= and 18=B-) of the SnapAmp. I got no feedback on the corresponding axis. I swapped them many times , the same.
Is there any settings i have to do? is the voltage level differs from the IO to Encoder channels pins??
Thanks
Azed.

Azd,
Which encoder input channel are you defining? Because KFlop now has 8 encoder inputs itself. SnapAmp #0 would be input channels 8-11 and SnapAmp #1 would be 12-15. Set the InputChan0 parameter to 8 and InputMode as Encoder and download to the board. Regards

I am using it with Kmotion not Kflop, I am using channel 4. pins 15 ,16,17 and 18) there is no problem with identifying the channel number. I think the problem is with the voltage level. I checked them with the oscilliscope they are 3.6 V for A- and 2.8V for the A+, is that ok?

Azd,
That should be channel 8 not 4. Voltage levels should be fine only 0.2V differential is needed.

Thank I was using the wrong channel. Regards Azeddien
